Under The Mosaic Law

The Mosaic Law was very harsh to the people of that time. Jesus came and abolished many of the Mosaic Laws with a few exceptions, Act 15: 19 – 21 19 “And so my judgment is that we should not make it difficult for the Gentiles (non Jews) who are turning to God. 20 Instead, we should write and tell them to abstain from eating food offered to idols, from sexual immorality, from eating the meat of strangled animals, and from consuming blood. 21 For these laws of Moses have been preached in Jewish synagogues in every city on every Sabbath for many generations.” Jesus came into this world and died for our sins. Ephesians 5:2-7 2 “Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God.3 Let there be no sexual immorality, impurity, or greed among you. Such sins have no place among God’s people. 4 Obscene stories, foolish talk, and coarse jokes—these are not for you. Instead, let there be thankfulness to God. 5 You can be sure that no immoral, impure, or greedy person will inherit the Kingdom of Christ and of God. For a greedy person is an idolater, worshiping the things of this world.6 Don’t be fooled by those who try to excuse these sins, for the anger of God will fall on all who disobey him. 7 Don’t participate in the things these people do. Always keep the Lord Jesus in your heart, because he looks into a person’s heart. Amen
